Covid-19 – Financial and Medical Help

Fundraiser

Dr. Ambedkar International Mission conducted a fundraiser for helping out the grave COVID situation in India, particularly to the needy and most impacted sections in Maharashtra which is the worst hit state.

AIM had partnered with local organizations with verified credentials to make our help reach the needy.

AIM employed couple of staff in India for better coordination.
Our strategy to help include –
1. Procurement of much needed critical lifesaving medical equipments like ventilators and oxygen concentrators from US for donation to upcoming and newly established emergency COVID treatment centers to make them functional quickly.
2. Mobilizing healthcare staff from within our networks to have more helping hands on ground
3.Continuing to engage with more local organizations across Maharashtra to expand the scope

Result

With the generous contributions and more importantly with the commitment and passion of our team, we were able to collaborate with many local organizations to provide much needed relief the most affected sections all across India. This was complimented by our sponsorship of medical equipments and other medical accessories to multitude of COVID healthcare facilities spanning from West Bengal to interior tribal areas in Jharkhand. Our fundraising drive in India in collaboration with Aniket Foundation facilitated assisting various Buddha Viharas who were financially distressed due to the pandemic.

Dr. Ambedkar International Mission (AIM) donated critical, lifesaving medical equipment to India to tackle the current Covid-19 pandemic. This will include used ventilators,
which will be fully certified for functioning. Unfortunately, we realized that India has a restriction for importing used medical equipments. We are reaching out to you to seek your kind assistance in allowing into India these critical, lifesaving equipments i.e., Ventilators, Bi-PAP Machines, etc. to help save lives, especially amongst the poorer and needy sections of the society.

These equipments will be primarily used at the following facilities among others to treat patients belonging to financially poorer sections of the society at no-charge or basic minimal charge.
